Some of these toys, especially the rare ones, are meant to be displayed with pride. But you also wouldn’t dare play with them or give them to children to shove up their nose or whatever it is kids do with toys these days. ![]() Though, unlike used cars, you wouldn’t dare take them out on the road. It should also come as no surprise that Hot Wheels are insanely collectible, to the point that some of these cars can go for almost as much as a real used car. The simple idea of toys cars proved to be a popular one, and with their innovative and detailed designs, funky name, and weird colors, it’s no surprise that Hot Wheels continues to be popular today under the ownership of Mattel. Since their creation in 1968 by Elliot Handler, Hot Wheels have entertained children and grown-ups all over the world.
